Microsoft is pleased to announce that, following a six month preview period, support for OASIS Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) version 1.0 in Windows Azure Service Bus has now transitioned to General Availability (GA). Service Bus provides a hosted, secure, and widely available infrastructure for messaging, large-scale event distribution, naming, and service publishing. Developers can now build robust, cross-platform, hybrid applications using an open, standard protocol.
